New Delhi: Marking three decades of pioneering excellence, the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre (ISIC) — India’s foremost institution dedicated to spinal disorders and rooted in the legacy of its founder, Major H.P.S. Ahluwalia — today announced the launch of its new identity, heralding a bold transformation into the ISIC Multispeciality Hospital.

Driven by its mission to provide compassionate, world-class medical care and its vision to become a global leader in integrated healthcare, ISIC is embarking on a new journey focused on excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.

As part of this transformation, ISIC unveiled its new logo — a timeless design that preserves the institution’s founding ethos while embracing the future of holistic healthcare.

The hospital will now include advanced departments in Cardiac Sciences, Renal Sciences, Neurosciences, and Gastro Sciences, alongside its established Centres of Excellence in Orthopaedics and Spine.

An Oncology division is also planned for the next phase. Each specialty will bring together state-of-the-art diagnostics, clinical expertise, research, and rehabilitation under one roof to ensure continuous and coordinated care from prevention to recovery.

The expansion plan includes increasing capacity from 200 to over 600 beds within five years. The first phase will add 100 beds, upgrade diagnostics, introduce a 15-bedded dialysis unit, and enhance digital systems and infrastructure.

The hospital is also focusing on improving emergency response, patient-centric design, and digital integration to provide seamless, high-quality care.

Reflecting on ISIC’s journey, Ms. Bholi Ahluwalia, Chairperson, ISIC Multi-speciality Hospital, said, “ISIC was born from Major H.P.S. Ahluwalia’s vision of turning personal adversity into a lifelong mission of service.

For over three decades, that spirit has guided us in restoring hope and dignity to thousands. As we expand, our goal remains the same — to serve with compassion, inclusion, and purpose.”

Ms. Sugandh Ahluwalia, Chief Strategy Officer, added that this evolution blends ISIC’s legacy in spinal and rehabilitative care with a broader, patient-first approach. “We’re building an ecosystem where advanced technology, teamwork, and empathy work together to deliver truly integrated care,” she said.

Investments in AI, robotics, and digital health will enhance precision and expand access through telemedicine and remote rehabilitation.

Dr. Ashish Chandra, Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that the hospital’s growth focuses on integrating technology with compassionate care. “Every process — from diagnosis to recovery — is designed to be transparent and human-centered,” he noted.

The hospital’s digital ecosystem, including mobile apps and patient portals, provides real-time updates and easy access to health records.

With steady growth, high patient satisfaction, and strong operational performance, ISIC is poised to redefine patient-centered healthcare in North India — staying true to its foundation of empathy, innovation, and community trust.
