5 Tips to Keep Mosquitoes at Bay

Dress Wisely
Choose long sleeves and trousers, especially in the morning and evening when mosquito activity is most active. Mosquitoes find dark-colored garments more appealing than light-colored ones.
Apply insect repellents
Cover exposed skin with insect repellents containing DEET, picaridin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus. Reapply as necessary, particularly if you're swimming or perspiring.
Use Mosquito Nets
Place a mosquito net over your bed if you sleep in an area where mosquito activity is high. Insecticide-treated nets provide additional security.
Remove Standing Water:
Standing water is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. To keep things like bird baths, flower pots, and gutters from turning into breeding grounds, regularly empty and clean them.
Use Essential oils
Natural mosquito repellents can be made from essential oils such as citronella, eucalyptus, and peppermint. These oils can be applied topically or diluted and used in diffusers, candles, or carrier oils. But remember, you might need to reapply essential oils more often than store-bought repellents.
