Lalit Patidar, an 18-year-old from Madhya Pradesh, has achieved a unique milestone by setting the Guinness World Record for the hairiest face on a man.
What is 'Werewolf Syndrome'?
Lalit has hypertrichosis, a rare condition with only 50 documented cases worldwide. This causes excessive hair growth on his face, covering 95% of it, with 201.72 hairs per square cm.
Overcoming Challenges
Growing up, Lalit faced bullying and hurtful remarks from classmates and strangers. However, once people got to know him, they realized he was just like them on the inside.
Embracing His Identity
Rather than letting negativity affect him, Lalit proudly embraces his unique appearance. He runs a YouTube channel where he shares his daily life with the world.
Lalit traveled to Milan, Italy, where a trichologist measured his facial hair on a TV show before he was officially awarded the record.
A Moment of Pride
“I am speechless and very happy to receive this recognition,” says Lalit. He refuses to shave, confidently stating, "I like how I am, and I don’t want to change my look."
