WHAT IS WORLD MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS DAY?
World MS Day raises awareness and support for individuals with multiple sclerosis, a chronic autoimmune disorder affecting the central nervous system. Affecting over 2.3 million people globally, it aims to enhance understanding, advocate for better treatment access, and foster unity within the global MS community.
THEME OF WORLD MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS DAY
‘My MS Diagnosis’ is the theme for World MS Day in 2024–2025. All MS patients should receive an accurate and timely diagnosis, according to the My MS Diagnosis campaign. By presenting actual experiences and statistics, it draws attention to the obstacles that exist globally for MS diagnosis.
HISTORY OF WORLD MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS DAY
Established in 2009 by the MS International Federation (MSIF), World MS Day is supported by diverse MS organizations globally. MSIF, with staff and volunteers, includes delegates from countries like Greece, Argentina, Australia, the US, India, Kenya, Tunisia, the UK, and Spain.
