Actress Sameera Reddy Inaugurates One-Stop Breast Clinic at Holy Family Hospital

Mumbai: Holy Family Hospital in Bandra (W) marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month by launching its 'One-Stop Breast Clinic,' a facility aimed at providing women with comprehensive breast care services. Bollywood actress and women’s health advocate, Sameera Reddy, officially inaugurated the clinic.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting women worldwide, including in Mumbai. In response, Holy Family Hospital's new clinic offers a wide range of services, from early diagnosis to personalized treatment plans for breast-related health issues. The clinic is designed to ensure women receive timely and holistic care under one roof.

Ms. Reddy, known for her advocacy for women's health and wellness, highlighted the importance of early detection during the event. She launched a brochure outlining the clinic's services and benefits and emphasized the significance of taking early action against breast cancer. "It’s an honor to support this initiative. Early detection and awareness are vital in the fight against breast cancer. I hope this clinic encourages more women to take charge of their health and seek timely care," she said.

Dr. (Sr) Beena, Executive Director of Holy Family Hospital, opened the event by reiterating the hospital's commitment to providing comprehensive care for women. She praised the new clinic’s potential to enhance early detection and treatment. "Our goal with this dedicated clinic is to meet the increasing demand for specialized breast care, offering everything from prevention to diagnosis and treatment," Dr. Beena stated. She also commended Dr. Rajeev Boudhankar, the Medical Director, and the hospital's surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and support staff for their contributions in bringing the clinic to life.

Dr. Dale Rodrigues, a prominent Surgical Oncologist at the hospital, stressed the critical role early detection plays in improving breast cancer outcomes. He remarked, "This clinic is launching at a crucial time. With the expertise available here, we aim to make a significant impact on patient care."

Following the inauguration, a live-streamed panel discussion featured prominent medical experts, including Dr. Dale Rodrigues, Dr. Nikhil Dharmadhikari, Dr. Niharika Garach, Dr. Avinash Deo, Dr. Ajay Kolse, Dr. Pallavi Shetty, and Dr. Sneha Chandwani. Moderated by Dr. Nikhil, the panel explored preventive strategies, the latest in breast cancer treatment, and how the clinic will improve access to specialized care.
