Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath Shares Recovery Update 14 Months After Suffering Stroke
Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath shared a health update 14 months after his stroke. While his body has healed, his mind is still at 85%. His speech has improved, but his writing remains a challenge.
The Stroke Incident
On February 26, 2024, Kamath revealed he had a mild stroke six weeks earlier. He linked it to stress, poor sleep, dehydration, and over-exercising despite his otherwise healthy lifestyle.
Early Challenges
After the stroke, Kamath had a facial droop and struggled to read and write. Daily tasks became difficult, but with medical help, he gradually improved.
Recovery Progress
His facial droop has mostly disappeared, and his reading and writing have improved. He remains optimistic about making a full recovery within six months.
Learning to Slow Down
Kamath questioned how a fit person like him could have a stroke. His doctor advised him to “shift gears down,” teaching him the importance of balance in health.
Despite setbacks, Kamath remains committed to fitness. He continues tracking his treadmill progress while adopting a more mindful approach to health.
In April 2024, Kamath made his first public appearance at the Zero1 fest, discussing health and wealth with Nas Daily, JC from FITTR, and Twitellectual.
