His areas of expertise include Brain tumour surgery, Spine surgery and spinal fusion technique, Minimal access surgery, Vascular neurosurgery, Radiation neurosurgery, Head and spine injuries. Dr Netalkar is a life member of the Indian Medical Association, the Neurological Society of India, the Indian Microsurgery Society, and the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
