Dr Urmila Soman
Dr Urmila Soman is the Lead Consultant in Minimally Invasive Gynaecology & Robotic Surgery at Apollo Adlux Hospital with over 22 years of experience in laparoscopic gynecological surgery. She completed her MBBS from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences, Coimbatore, followed by DGO, DNB, and MNAMS from Government Medical College, Kottayam. She further trained in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Incontinence Treatment at the National University of Medicine, Seoul, South Korea, and obtained a DMAS from the KEIL School of Endoscopy, Germany. Dr Soman has performed over 10,000 gynecological laparoscopic surgeries, including advanced minimally invasive procedures. She specializes in transvaginal tape procedures for urinary stress incontinence and laparoscopic pelvic reconstructive surgeries using mesh. She is also an Endoscopy teaching faculty at the Indian College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ICOG) and has published several research papers in medical journals.
