Medicover Navi Mumbai Launches Advanced Ophthalmology Department

Navi Mumbai: Medicover Hospitals, Navi Mumbai, has taken a significant step towards strengthening specialised healthcare services with the launch of its Next-Generation Ophthalmology Department, aimed at delivering comprehensive, high-quality eye care to patients across the region.

The launch marks Medicover Hospitals’ commitment to expanding access to advanced eye care using modern technology and expert clinical expertise.

The newly launched Ophthalmology Department offers a wide range of services, including cataract surgery (including phacoemulsification), retina care, glaucoma management, cornea services, paediatric ophthalmology, refractive error correction, diabetic eye disease management, and advanced eye diagnostics.

The department is designed to provide end-to-end eye care, from early screening and diagnosis to surgical and post-treatment follow-up.

Some of the most prevalent eye conditions include refractive errors, cataracts, dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration.

If left untreated, these conditions can lead to complications such as vision loss, blindness, eye infections, reduced quality of life, and irreversible damage to the optic nerve.

The Ophthalmology Department at Medicover Hospitals plays a crucial role in early detection and timely treatment of these conditions through advanced diagnostic tools, minimally invasive procedures, and evidence-based clinical protocols, ensuring better outcomes and faster recovery for patients".
