400+ Join Heart Walkathon, New Healthy Heart Clinic Launched at Fortis Hospital

Manesar: Fortis Hospital, Manesar hosted a large-scale heart health walkathon, witnessing an turnout of over 400 enthusiastic community members from across Manesar and Gurugram.
The event, themed "Rakhe Apne ❤️ Ka Khayal, FORTIS Ke Sath" (Take care of your heart with FORTIS), served as a powerful platform for raising awareness about cardiovascular disease prevention and celebrating the launch of the hospital’s new, dedicated Healthy Heart Clinic.
The walkathon commenced at 5:30 am and continued until 8:00 am, with participants covering a total distance of 4.5 km. The walkathon kicked off with hundreds of participants—ranging from senior citizens to young families, converging for the walk, demonstrating a collective commitment to active living.
It concluded with a crucial health seminar and the formal inauguration of the specialized clinic, positioning Fortis Hospital, Manesar, as a leader in preventive cardiology in the region. The Healthy Heart Clinic is designed to provide comprehensive, personalized risk assessments, lifestyle counseling, and advanced diagnostics to catch and manage cardiovascular risks early.
In a critical session focused on emergency preparedness, Dr. Attish Garg, Consultant and Head – Emergency Medicine, Fortis Hospital Manesar provided vital training on emergency response and Basic Life Support (BLS). The participants were guided through hands-on demonstrations of chest compressions and rescue breathing, empowering them to act quickly in a cardiac emergency.
