New Delhi: Fortis Hospital Gurugram has launched North India’s first Advanced Constipation & Pelvic Clinic to address chronic constipation and pelvic floor disorders.

Led by Dr Gourdas Choudhuri, Chairman of Gastroenterology, along with Dr Rinkesh Bansal and Dr Zubin Dev Sharma, the clinic integrates cutting-edge technology and expert care in partnership with U.S.-based JOGO Health Pvt Ltd.

The clinic introduces JOGO Health’s EMG biofeedback technology, a non-invasive, digital therapeutic solution for chronic constipation, urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and voiding dysfunction.

Recognized and recommended globally by authorities like the American Urological Association, EMG biofeedback enhances muscle function and control, providing a precise alternative to surgical interventions.

Dr Gourdas Choudhuri, Chairman of Gastroenterology at Fortis Hospital Gurugram, said, “Pelvic floor disorders and chronic constipation are often underdiagnosed and undertreated due to stigma and lack of awareness. By introducing advanced EMG biofeedback technology, we are revolutionizing the treatment approach, offering patients effective, non-surgical options. This clinic is a testament to our commitment to delivering comprehensive, world-class care that not only treats symptoms but addresses the underlying causes of these conditions.”

The clinic offers comprehensive evaluations and treatments, utilizing diagnostic tools like anorectal manometry and defecography for precise assessments. This approach highlights Fortis Hospital’s dedication to addressing the root causes of pelvic health conditions.

Charles Jesudasan, General Manager & Country Head of JOGO Health, shared his enthusiasm about the collaboration, adding, “Our partnership with Fortis Hospital Gurugram is a testament to our shared commitment to advancing pelvic health through patient-centric innovation. Together, we are introducing an accessible, non-invasive approach to treating pelvic floor disorders, empowering patients to take control of their health in a safe, supportive environment.”

Yash Rawat, Facility Director of Fortis Hospital Gurugram, said, “The launch of our Advanced Constipation & Pelvic Clinic reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding specialized services that cater to patients with chronic and often life-altering conditions. By embracing innovative, technology-driven treatment solutions, we aim to help our patients regain control over their health and enhance their overall quality of life.”
