Aster Prime Hospital & AIRRF Celebrate International Women’s Day with Health Camp for Railway Pensioners

Hyderabad: In celebration of International Women’s Day, Aster Prime Hospital, in collaboration with the All India Railway Retired Employees’ Federation (AIRRF), organized a special event at the AIRRF Central Office, Chilkalguda, Secunderabad.
The program was designed to honor women while promoting health awareness among railway pensioners and their families. During the camp, a total of 96 beneficiaries availed themselves of health screening and medical consultation services, highlighting the community-centric approach of the organizers.
The event was graced by Dr. Nirmala Rajaram, PCMD/SCR, who attended as the Chief Guest. The program also saw the presence of eminent dignitaries, including Dr. S. Sreedhar, President of AIRRF, K. Sivakumar, Zonal Secretary, C. Krishnakumari, Convenor – Women’s Wing, and K. Girija, GS/ YNSM Trust.
In her address, Dr. Rajaram emphasized the importance of acknowledging the contributions of women in society and underscored the need for regular health check-ups and preventive healthcare measures, especially for railway pensioners and their families. She encouraged participants to take proactive steps toward their health, highlighting that early detection plays a crucial role in improving long-term wellness.
The health camp offered a comprehensive range of screening tests, including Blood Pressure (BP), Random Blood Sugar (GRBS), Pulse Rate (PR), Oxygen Saturation (SPO2), Height, Weight, ECG, 2D Echo, and Pulmonary Function Tests.
In addition to the screenings, specialist consultations were provided in Cardiology, Gynaecology, and General Medicine, ensuring participants received targeted advice and care from experienced medical professionals.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from railway pensioners and their spouses, making the celebration not just ceremonial but also highly impactful. Attendees expressed appreciation for the medical guidance and the opportunity to undergo free health screenings, which many found valuable for maintaining their health.
