Greater Noida: In a development for regional healthcare, Prakash Hospital has successfully performed the first-ever robotic-assisted Total Hip Replacement, THR, surgery in Greater Noida using the advanced MAKO Stryker robotic system. This achievement marks a significant step forward in precision-led orthopedic care within the region.

The surgery was led by Dr. D. P. Sharma and Dr. Vivek Prakash, with critical support from OT technicians Mr. Pramod and Mr. Krishnapal, while anesthesia was administered by Dr. Archana. The procedure was executed with meticulous planning and coordination, underscoring the hospital’s capability to deliver technology-driven surgical excellence.

The MAKO robotic system enables surgeons to develop a patient-specific surgical plan based on detailed pre-operative imaging. This approach enhances implant positioning accuracy, optimizes joint alignment, and supports improved functional outcomes. Compared to conventional techniques, robotic-assisted hip replacement can reduce soft tissue damage, improve surgical precision, and accelerate post-operative recovery.

Commenting on the, Dr. V. S. Chauhan, Chairman, Prakash Group, stated, “This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to bringing world-class, cutting-edge healthcare to Greater Noida and the surrounding region. By introducing robotic-assisted joint replacement, we are elevating the standards of orthopedic care and ensuring that advanced surgical technology is accessible locally.”

Robotic Total Hip Replacement is particularly beneficial for patients suffering from advanced osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other degenerative hip conditions. The integration of robotics enhances predictability, minimizes intraoperative variability, and contributes to better long-term implant performance.

With this, Prakash Hospital reinforces its position as a progressive healthcare institution focused on innovation, clinical excellence, and patient-centric outcomes. The hospital continues to invest in advanced infrastructure and skilled medical talent to deliver globally treatment solutions across specialties.

By setting in robotic joint replacement, Prakash Hospital is redefining orthopedic care delivery in Greater Noida and strengthening its mission to provide safe, precise, and outcome-driven healthcare services.
