NEW DELHI: The Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre (RGCIRC) successfully organized the "Breast Cancer Update Conference 2024" on June 15th and 16th. This event gathered prominent experts, researchers, healthcare professionals, and faculty from India and around the world to delve into recent advancements in breast cancer research. Over two days, the conference highlighted significant findings from major global oncology conferences including ASCO, ESMO, and SABCS.
Under the patronage of chairman Mr. Rakesh Chopra, the conference featured sessions led by experts focusing on new therapies, precision medicine, and patient-centric care. It included panel discussions, interactive workshops, and opportunities for collaboration to advance knowledge in areas such as early-stage breast cancer, metastatic breast cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, and innovative treatments like immunotherapy and precision medicine.
Renowned oncologists presented significant findings from recent studies and latest trials on targeted therapies, immunotherapy like Pembrolizumab, cyclin inhibitor tablets and many new drugs and surgical procedures along with radiation techniques and investigations which have made revolutionary changes in the outcome of breast cancer management. These presentations provided valuable insights into innovative treatments and patient care strategies.
