Overview

In this video, Dr Santhosh Kumar Devadas, Consultant Medical Oncologist at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, Bengaluru, addresses the misconception that breast cancer cannot occur without symptoms.

He explains that while the breast is a superficial organ, many women are unaware of the signs of breast cancer and that the disease can develop silently without any noticeable symptoms. Dr Devadas stresses the importance of self-breast examinations as an essential step in early detection.

By regularly examining their breasts, women can identify hard lumps or other abnormalities that may require medical attention. Early detection through self-exams and screenings significantly improves the chances of effective treatment and better outcomes.

This video highlights the need for proactive breast health awareness and emphasizes that the absence of symptoms does not guarantee the absence of cancer.

It serves as a reminder for women to stay vigilant and prioritize regular self-checks and screenings to protect their health. Watch now to learn why being proactive can make all the difference.
