Overview

In this video, Dr Peush Bajpai, HOD & Consultant Medical-Hemato Oncologist at Manipal Hospital, Delhi, sets the record straight, debunking the widespread myth that vaping does not cause lung cancer.

Initially, vaping was believed to expose the lungs to minimal pollutants, making it a seemingly safer option. However, emerging evidence has revealed that vaping can lead to severe lung injuries and scarring.

Dr Bajpai explains that any form of lung scarring or injury significantly increases the risk of developing lung cancer. He emphasizes that vaping is not a harmless substitute but rather a dangerous practice that damages lung tissue and poses long-term health risks.

Dr Bajpai stresses the need to quit smoking and all its alternatives, including vaping, to safeguard lung health. There are no shortcuts or safer methods when it comes to protecting your lungs.

Determination and the decision to quit smoking entirely are crucial steps toward a healthier future. Vaping isn’t the solution—it’s part of the problem. Stay informed, take action, and prioritize your lung health today!
