Dr Chitralekha De (MBBS, MS (Ophthalmology)) is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad. She specializes in the treatment of Retinal diseases of the eye, with more than 13 years of experience after her post-graduation education. Dr Chitralekha completed her Masters (MS) in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Regional Institute of Ophthalmology in Guwahati, Assam where she developed a keen interest in diseases affecting the Retina of the eye. Following her niche passion, she went on to pursue a surgical Fellowship in Retinal Surgery at the “temple of the Eye”, Shankar Nethralaya in Chennai where she picked up the nuances of microsurgery and laser therapy for the management of various Retinal conditions like Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Detachment, Retinal Tears, Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) etc.
