Dr Manjiri Somashekhar
Dr Manjiri Somashekhar (MBBS, MS (Paediatric Surgery), MCh (Paediatric Surgery), DNB (Paediatric Surgery)) is a Lead and Senior Consultant in Paediatric Surgery at Aster Women & Children Hospital, Bengaluru. She has over 25 years of experience managing a range of paediatric surgical conditions, including trauma, congenital anomalies, neonatal surgeries, and paediatric oncological procedures. She has performed more than 15,000 surgeries in these areas. Dr Somashekhar has completed certified training in Da Vinci robotic surgery and has presented scientific work at national and international conferences. Her research includes several publications in peer-reviewed journals, and she serves as a reviewer for various academic publications. She has also been involved in training programs, including cadaveric labs, and has presented at international forums such as the BOOT CAMP on Exstrophy Bladder by Johns Hopkins Medical School. She is a member of professional bodies including IAPS, KAPS, PESI, and PSU, and currently serves as an executive member of the IAPS Karnataka chapter.
