Dr P C Gupta (MBBS, MS (Surgery), Fellowship in Vascular Surgery) is the Clinical Director and Head of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Vascular Interventional Radiology (IR), and Podiatric Surgery at CARE Hospitals, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, with over 30 years of experience. He completed his MBBS from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, and MS in Surgery from PGIMER, Chandigarh. He further specialized with a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Nagoya University, Japan, and advanced training in carotid surgery (University of North Carolina, USA) and complex aortic surgery (Methodist Hospital, Houston, USA). Dr Gupta specializes in treating varicose veins, leg ulcers, and diabetic foot conditions, along with managing deep vein thrombosis, vascular access for hemodialysis, aortic aneurysms, carotid surgeries, thoracic outlet syndrome, and vascular trauma. He has authored over 25 publications, including a world-first case of carotid aneurysm surgery during pregnancy, and contributed to research on ischemia-reperfusion injury and stem cell therapy. He is a co-author of the Global Vascular Guidelines for managing chronic limb-threatening ischemia and serves on the editorial boards of the Indian and European Journals of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery. A teacher and examiner for DrNB in Vascular Surgery, he is also the President-Elect of the Vascular Society of India and a council member of the World Federation of Vascular Societies.
