Dr Saurabh Juneja is the Director and Head of Cardio, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery at the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. With an MBBS from UCMS, Delhi, an MS from BJMC, Pune, and an MCh in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) from GB Pant, Delhi University, Dr Juneja has over 25 years of extensive experience in adult cardiac surgery. He has served in reputed institutions such as Gangaram Hospital, Fortis Escorts, Apollo, and Medanta, Gurugram, performing more than 2,500 cardiac procedures with excellent outcomes. His expertise includes off-pump beating heart coronary bypass, valve repair and replacement, total arterial revascularization, minimally invasive (keyhole) cardiac surgery, and peripheral vascular surgeries. Dr Juneja is a Fellow and Life Member of the Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery and a member of the Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery of India. He has contributed to notable publications, including articles in The Annals of Thoracic Surgery and Cardiology Today, focusing on topics such as left ventricular thrombus, surgical options in rheumatic mitral stenosis, and non-transplant surgical approaches in heart failure.
