Dr Raj Nagarkar (MBBS, MS, MRCS (Edin), DNB (General Surgery), BSS) is the Managing Director and Chief of Surgical Oncology and Robotic Services at HCG Manavata Cancer Centre, Nashik. He has over 21 years of experience and has performed 45,000+ cancer surgeries. He has also been involved in more than 300 phase 1-3 and investigator-initiated clinical trials. Furthermore, he has a vast experience in breast and thoracic surgical oncology and has examined and treated more than 95,000 cancer patients. Dr Raj has been honoured with the prestigious ‘The Inspiring Oncologist of India’ award by The Economic Times. He holds the membership of Maharashtra Oncology Group and Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh along with the Membership of National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS) by the Ministry of Health, New Delhi. Dr Raj has been awarded various authorships for the trials conducted. Dr Raj started HCG Manavata Jan Jagruti Abhyaan to create awareness on tobacco hazards, early symptoms of cancer, the importance of screening, etc., among the masses. He has completed scientific treatments in more than 2000 screening camps and lectures, which have benefited more than 55,000 screened individuals in and around north Maharashtra.
